Sharks Prospect Alex Stalock Has Season-Ending Surgery
SAN JOSE (AP) - San Jose Sharks general manager Doug Wilson said goalie Alex Stalock has had surgery on his injured left leg and there is no timetable for his return.
Wilson said Wednesday that the operation on Monday at the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota went well. Wilson said Stalock is expected to miss the rest of the season.
Stalock got a laceration on his leg on Feb. 4 while playing for Worcester in the AHL when he was stepped on by a skate.
The 23-year-old Stalock got the win in relief in his NHL debut on Feb. 1 against Phoenix. He was 19-17-4 with a 2.53 goals against average at Worcester.
