Sharks Acquire Forward Ben Eager From Atlanta
SAN JOSE (AP) ― The San Jose Sharks have acquired forward Ben Eager from the Atlanta Thrashers in exchange for a fifth-round selection in the 2011 NHL entry draft.
Doug Wilson, the Sharks' executive vice president and general manager, made the announcement on Tuesday.
The 27-year-old Eager has played in 34 games with Atlanta this season, posting three goals, seven assists, a plus-four rating and 77 penalty minutes.
Eager was with the Stanley Cup champion Chicago Blackhawks last season. He has also played with Philadelphia.
