Shark Warnings Posted Along California Central Coast
SAN LUIS OBISPO (CBS/AP) -- Warning signs were posted because of shark sightings along California's central coast, including a 10-footer eating a seal off Cayucos.
Signs will be posted for three days at Shell Beach, Pismo Beach and Cayucos in San Luis Obispo County.
A 12-foot shark was reportedly spotted Saturday morning in kelp beds about 100 yards off Shell Beach.
There was also a sighting in the same area on Sunday, and it's believed to be the same one seen the previous day.
The latest sighting was at about 4 p.m. Monday in the Old Creek Beach area of Cayucos. Witnesses say it was eating a seal 100 yards offshore.
