Shallow 3.1 Earthquake Rattles San Simeon
SAN SIMEON (CBS SF) — The U.S. Geological Survey says a magnitude 3.1 earthquake struck near San Simeon Monday morning.
The USGS reports the quake's epicenter was located 9 miles from San Simeon, 25 miles from Morro Bay and 26 miles from Atascadero. The temblor struck at a depth of 5.6 miles at 1:48 a.m. PDT.
There are no immediate reports of damage.
