SFO: Southwest Flights Back On Schedule After Computer Outage
SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- Southwest Airlines flights were back on schedule Saturday after a computer outage prompted dozens of cancellations around the country on Friday, a spokeswoman said.
Around 57 Southwest flights had to be cancelled and 250 others were delayed when the systemwide outage impacted the airline's ability to conduct check-ins and print boarding passes, spokeswoman Michelle Agnew said.
The outage was repaired early Saturday morning, she said.
Two Southwest flights out of San Francisco International Airport were canceled Friday, and one at Oakland International Airport was delayed about two hours, duty managers at both facilities said.
Saturday Southwest was running on schedule with no cancellations at either airport.
