SF Supervisor Who Reinstated Mirkarimi Would Support Recall
SAN FRANCISCO (CBS / AP) -- A San Francisco supervisor who voted to reinstate embattled Sheriff Ross Mirkarimi to his job said she would still support a recall effort to remove him from office.
In a statement to her constituents, Supervisor Jane Kim said Wednesday that her faith in Mirkarimi as a person and sheriff has greatly diminished and that voters have every right to recall him as sheriff.
Kim was one of four supervisors who voted on Tuesday to keep Mirkarimi as sheriff despite his criminal conviction related to a domestic violence case.
