Power Pole Fires Spark Outages Across San Francisco
SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- PG&E mobilized utility crews from the East Bay to help repair a number of power outages in San Francisco Sunday afternoon, a utility spokesman said.
As of 1 p.m., around 1,800 customers remained without power, mostly in the Richmond, Sunset and Excelsior districts, PG&E spokesman J.D. Guidi said.
As many as 2,800 customers had lost power since 6 a.m., Guidi said.
A combination of light rain and dust accumulation on power lines
was likely to blame for the problem, according to PG&E.
