San Francisco Police Release Video Of Possible Suspect In Duboce Triangle Beating Death
SAN FRANCISCO (KCBS) - San Francisco police released video footage Thursday from a taxicab dashboard camera of a person wanted for questioning in connection with a fatal beating in Duboce Triangle earlier this month.
The video shows a man between 20 and 30 years crossing Church Street near Market Street around the time of the beating, old wearing a dark hooded gray sweatshirt, which he later removes to reveal a red shirt underneath.
"At this point, it's a person of interest," said Officer Albie Esparza, spokesman for the San Francisco Police Department. "We would like to speak to this person, know who this person is so we can question him as to what happened and why."
The victim, 31-year-old Bryan Higgins, was found badly beaten around 7:30 a.m. on Aug. 10. He was pronounced dead three days later.
Investigators are still awaiting results of an autopsy from the San Francisco Medical Examiner's Office about the cause of death, although the case is being investigated as a homicide and could even become a hate crime investigation.
Higgins, who also went by the name "Feather Lynn", participated in a gay men's spiritual movement known as the Radical Faeries.
