SF Police Evacuate Archbishop Riordan High School
SAN FRANCISCO (KCBS) - Archbishop Riordan High School was evacuated Thursday after someone phoned in a bomb threat to the school, according to San Francisco police.
Students were removed from their classrooms and assembled on the football field while police officers searched the Catholic school classroom by classroom using dogs.
The threat was called in around 11:15 a.m., authorities said. The bomb squad arrived on scene at about 12:15 p.m., according to a student at San Francisco City College across the street.
The incident was also affecting Muni service in the area. Busses that run on Phelan Avenue were redirected because of the police activity.
As of 1 p.m., there were no reports of any injuries.
