SF Fisherman's Wharf Employee Tied Up, Robbed At Gunpoint
SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- An employee at a store in San Francisco's Fisherman's Wharf area was tied up and robbed at gunpoint early Friday morning, according to police.
At about 1 a.m. a male suspect entered a business in the 100 block of Jefferson Street near The Embarcadero, police said.
The suspect, armed with a handgun, went into an upstairs manager's office and placed a 32-year-old male employee in a chokehold, officers said.
With a gun to the employee's head, the suspect instructed the victim to open a safe containing cash, police said.
Officers said the suspect then tied the employee up with a piece of cord and proceeded to take money from the safe. He also took the victim's cellphone.
Police said the suspect fled on foot and has not been arrested.
