1 Killed, 2 Hurt In San Francisco Solo-Car Crash
SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- A person was killed and two others were injured in a solo car crash Saturday night in San Francisco, a California Highway Patrol officer said.
Officers responded to a report of a car crashing into a wall on westbound Interstate Highway 80 at the Fifth Street off-ramp at about 10:05 p.m. Saturday, Officer Peter Van Eckhardt said.
Three people were inside the car at the time of the crash, Van Eckhardt said.
One of the passengers was not breathing when crews arrived, and received CPR, according to Van Eckhardt.
That person was transported to a hospital but was later pronounced dead.
The other two passengers suffered injuries in the crash, but Van Eckhardt did not know their conditions.
A Sig-alert was issued at 10:12 p.m. when the CHP blocked off the Fifth Street off-ramp on westbound Highway 80 to investigate the crash, he said. The off-ramp reopened at about 11:10 p.m.
