SF Corrections Officer Charged After Allegedly Leaving Cocaine, Loaded Gun Behind On Disney Trip
SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- A 51-year-old San Francisco juvenile corrections officer has been charged with possession of cocaine and a loaded firearm after he allegedly left the items in a fanny pack at a hotel room following a family trip to Disneyland, according to the Orange County District Attorney's Office.
Hercules resident Robert Minor had allegedly been staying at a Hilton Hotel in Anaheim with his family while they were attending the theme park.
Minor is accused of checking out of the hotel on June 5 and leaving behind a fanny pack in the hotel room containing a loaded Glock 20 handgun and .45 grams of cocaine, according to prosecutors.
When hotel personnel discovered the items, they contacted Anaheim police, who are continuing to investigate the incident.
On Friday, Minor was charged with one felony count of possession of a controlled substance with a firearm.
Minor remains out of custody until his arraignment, which is scheduled for July 29 in Fullerton, according to Orange County District Attorney's Office spokeswoman Roxi Fyad.
If convicted, Minor faces a maximum sentence of four years in state prison, prosecutors said.
