Sewage Truck Falls Into SF Haight District Sinkhole
SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) - A sinkhole in San Francisco's Haight District partially swallowed a sewage system cleaning truck Monday evening, an incident captured in photos by local blog Haighteration.
The Vac-Con truck's rear wheels sunk below the surface of the street on Waller St. near the Divisadero intersection, forcing the closure of the street.
According to neighbors posting on Haighteration, crews had been repairing the sewage system in the area prior to the incident.
A crane was being used Monday evening to remove the vehicle. There were no initial reports of injury.
