Sen. Feinstein: Immigration Deal For Agricultural Workers Reached
WASHINGTON (KCBS) - California Senator Dianne Feinstein said Tuesday a tentative agreement has been reached to end a dispute over agriculture workers that has been part of negotiations on a sweeping immigration overhaul.
The Democrat, who's had a lead role negotiating with growers and farm workers, didn't provide details on the deal.
The farm workers union has been at odds with the agriculture industry over worker wages and how many visas should be offered in a new program to bring agriculture workers to the U.S.
