Search Continues For Suspect In Fatal West Oakland BART Shooting
OAKLAND (CBS/AP/BCN) -- Police are searching for a man who fatally shot a passenger on a packed Bay Area Rapid Transit train and then fled when the train stopped at the West Oakland station, causing panic among riders who thought it was a terrorist attack.
BART police are investigating the shooting and searching for a suspect who fled into the West Oakland neighborhood.
BART spokesman Jim Allison confirmed Sunday the shooting was an isolated incident and not part of a terrorist attack.
Police say witnesses described the suspect as a bald, black, 6-foot-3 suspect with slim build, wearing a green hooded jacket, blue jeans and red and black boxer shorts.

BART police Lt. Aaron Ledford says officers detained a man with a similar description after the incident, but later released him after determining he was not involved.
