Search For 4 Suspects In Brutal Beating Attack In San Francisco's Mission

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- A man suffered a broken arm and leg after getting struck with a car and beaten by a group of suspects in San Francisco's Mission District early Friday morning, police said.

The attack was reported around 1 a.m. Friday in the 3300 block of 18th Street.

The 35-year-old victim was struck by the suspects' silver sedan, and after he crawled to the sidewalk, three suspects got out and demanded his property, according to police.

The victim was punched repeatedly and had his cellphone thrown against a wall during the attack, police said.

The suspects, described as four men between 20 and 25 years old, then got back into the car and fled west on 18th Street.

The victim was taken to a hospital to be treated for his injuries, which are not considered life-threatening, police said.

Anyone with information about the attack is encouraged to call the Police Department's anonymous tip line at (415) 575-4444 or send a tip by text message to TIP411.
