Saratoga Woman Arrested in Fatal Hit and Run
An elderly Mountain View resident is dead, and a Saratoga woman is behind bars following a fatal hit and run accident in Mountain View Monday evening.
Mountain View Police spokeswoman Liz Wylie says 80-year-old Manuel Enos was walking in the crosswalk at the intersection of California Street and Franklin Avenue just after 7:30 p.m. Monday, when he was struck by a Toyota Corolla.
"The people on the scene reported to us that the people that had hit the man had fled, and the man, who had suffered very significant injuries, passed away just after noon Tuesday," said Wylie.
Following an investigation, 46-year-old Keibun Son was arrested at her home in Saratoga late Monday night. Police don't think alcohol played a role in the accident.
Wylie says police are anxious to anyone who may have actually seen the accident. Anyone with any information is urged to call Mountain View police.
