Santa Rosa Police Seize 6 Pounds Of Pot After 2-Month Investigation
SANTA ROSA (CBS SF) - Following a two-month long investigation, police served a search warrant in connection with narcotics sales at locations in Santa Rosa and San Francisco early Thursday morning, according to Santa Rosa police.
Police served a search warrant at 7 a.m. in northwest Santa Rosa.
As a result of the search, police seized 6 pounds of marijuana and items indicative of selling controlled substances.
Police arrested Joshua Buckner, 39, of Santa Rosa for possession of controlled substances for sales, possession of marijuana for sales and probation violation. Buckner was booked into Sonoma County Jail.
Santa Rosa police served the warrant at a second location in the Bayview district of San Francisco, with the assistance of the San Francisco Police Department.
The San Francisco police SWAT team secured the residence prior to Santa Rosa police entering and searching the residence.
Police detained two adults at the residence and three additional suspects who were leaving the residence shortly before the warrant was served.
Detectives located controlled substances and items indicative of sales of controlled substances, as well as a stun gun at the residence, police said.
All five suspects detained in San Francisco were released at the scene and complaints for prosecution will be requested from the Sonoma County District Attorney's Office for two of the adults detained, according to police.
