Santa Rosa Man Sentenced To Prison For 8th DUI Conviction
SANTA ROSA (CBS SF) -- A Santa Rosa man with multiple DUI convictions has been sentenced to four years in state prison, prosecutors said Friday.
Jose Escalante, 56, was sentenced Thursday for his eighth DUI conviction and third felony DUI conviction since 2010, according to a statement from District Attorney Jill Ravitch.
Escalante was arrested July 9 after a collision on Summerfield Lane, in which his vehicle struck a parked car, the statement read.
After the collision, Escalante admitted he had consumed alcohol, and his blood-alcohol limit was later found to be more than three times the legal limit, prosecutors said.
