Santa Clara Homes Hit By String Of Bike Thefts
SANTA CLARA (CBS SF) - A number of bicycle thefts have been reported throughout residential areas of Santa Clara, police said Thursday.
Many of the thefts have occurred at apartment complexes north of the stretch of U.S. Highway 101 that cuts through the city. Other bikes were taken from single-family homes.
Police said the suspect is taking the bicycles from balconies or patios. Many of the stolen bicycles were unlocked and the thefts have occurred at various times of the day and night.
There is no suspect description and police are seeking the public's help to track down the culprit.
