San Ramon Woman Sexually Assaulted In Her Home

SAN RAMON (CBS SF) - Police have released a sketch of the man they believe forced himself into a woman's San Ramon home and sexually assaulted her on Tuesday.

At 11:05 a.m. Tuesday, the woman reported that a man had rung the doorbell of her home on Montrose Way earlier that morning. After looking through the peephole, she opened the door and spoke with him briefly, police said.

When she tried to close the door, the suspect wedged his foot in the doorway and entered the home, according to police.

Police said the suspect then forced the victim onto the floor and sexually assaulted her.

The man fled the area, possibly in a small blue or silver SUV, and has not been located, police said.

He is described as a Middle Eastern man in his 40s standing about 5 feet 9 inches tall with a heavy build and with very straight black hair. He is clean-shaven and has brown eyes.

Police said he was wearing a navy-blue cotton jacket and brown leather shoes.

Anyone with more information about the case is asked to contact the San Ramon Police Department at (925) 973-2700.
