San Ramon Little League Team Gets A Shot At The World Series
SAN RAMON (KPIX 5) -- A Bay Area Little League team came up just short in their dream to reach the World Series.
In a make-or-break game for the Canyon Creek Little League All-Stars from San Ramon Wednesday night in San Bernardino, they were up six runs on their opponents from Utah early on.
But Utah put together a couple of big innings to erase that deficit and eventually go up 13-8 in the bottom of the 5th inning.
Canyon Creek then scored three runs in the top of the 6th and was in position to pull off an amazing comeback, but with the go-ahead run at the plate and two runners on base a fly ball ended the game.
The final score was 13-11.
