San Mateo County Judge Facing DUI Charge
SAN MATEO (CBS SF) -- A San Mateo County judge is a facing a DUI charge following a May arrest, according to San Mateo County District Attorney Steve Wagstaffe.
Judge Joseph Scott, 63, is the county's assistant presiding judge.
Wagstaffe said Scott was stopped May 24 around 12:30 a.m. when officers saw his vehicle weaving on northbound Highway 101 in Redwood City.
Wagstaffe said Scott failed a field sobriety test and had a blood-alcohol level of .12, higher than the .08 legal limit.
Scott has a court date scheduled for Aug. 5.
