San Mateo Bridge Undergoing Emergency Repairs
SAN MATEO (BCN) -- Commuters should expect delays on the San Mateo-Hayward Bridge Thursday morning due to emergency repairs being done on a westbound lane, Caltrans officials said.
The damage was discovered today during a scheduled bridge inspection and is expected to take 24 to 48 hours to fix, officials said.
One lane will be closed during the construction, which is expected to cause significant delays.
Drivers are advised to allow extra travel time—or use the Bay Bridge or Dumbarton Bridge.
