Stabbing Suspect Fatally Shot By SJ Police After Ramming Patrol Car
SAN JOSE (CBS SF) -- A stabbing and carjacking suspect was shot and killed by a San Jose police officer after allegedly ramming a patrol car Thursday morning, police said.
The incident began at about 10:35 a.m. when the suspect, who has not yet been identified, allegedly stabbed three people in the 2100 block of Luz Avenue, police spokeswoman Sgt. Heather Randol said.
The victims suffered serious injuries but are all expected to survive, Randol said.

The suspect then carjacked a vehicle in the 100 block of Jackson Avenue and drove briefly the wrong way on Interstate Highway 680 while trying to escape from responding police officers, Randol said.
The pursuit ended near Kirk Glen Drive and Mabury Road, where the suspect rammed a patrol car and was shot by the officer, Randol said.
San Jose police homicide detectives are investigating the case, as is standard procedure, according to Randol.
