Officers Open Fire On San Jose Stolen Car Suspect
SAN JOSE (CBS SF) - A San Jose police officer and a California Highway Patrol officer shot at a man early Friday morning in San Jose while attempting to stop a stolen vehicle, police said.
The 31-year old man who was shot was admitted to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to San Jose police spokesman Jose Garcia. The shooting happened at 12:08 a.m. near the corner of Barrington Court and McLaughlin Avenue.
A second suspect, a 40-year-old man, was arrested at the scene and was still being questioned by police at around 3 a.m. No other injuries were reported.

Police said the officers opened fire around 12:08 a.m. while members of an auto theft task force were trying to prevent a stolen Ford Mustang from being driven away in San Jose.
Investigators have not said whether either of the suspects was armed or opened fire first. Neither man has been identified.
It was not clear whether one or both officers hit the suspect after firing their weapons.
