San Jose Shooting Victim Pronounced Dead At Hospital
SAN JOSE (CBS SF) - San Jose police determined that a fatal shooting Saturday morning took place outdoors on the 1500 block of Kooser Road in South San Jose.
The victim was found on the 2400 block of Samaritan Drive at 1:24 a.m., and investigators did not initially know where the shooting had occurred, according to a police spokesman.
Witnesses have since been located and are cooperating with police.
The victim suffered from at least one gunshot wound and was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
The homicide, San Jose's 40th this year, remains under investigation by the San Jose Police Department's Homicide Unit.
