San Jose Police Called To Four Homicides In 12-Hour Period
SAN JOSE (KCBS) - San Jose police have asked for the public's help in solving the city's most recent murder, a man found dead in a Jack in the Box parking lot.
Authorities have not released the name of the victim found lying in a parking lot on the 400 block of Blossom Hill Road in South San Jose, or identified any suspects in the case.
That death pushed the number of homicides in the city between Wednesday afternoon and Thursday morning to four. The body of 35-year-old Veronica Lozano was found in a South San Jose hotel room. A woman and 1-year-old boy were stabbed to death in East San Jose.

Police have already identified persons of interest or suspects in those three murders, which investigators stress appear unrelated.
Mayor Chuck Reed urged witnesses to the latest slaying to come forward.
"In every one of these homicides, somebody knows who did it," said San Jose Mayor Chuck Reed.
"That's really important, especially when you're understaffed, is to have those extra eyes and ears in the community, and for people to step up and identify the people that have committed the crimes."
The senseless stabbing in South San Jose has left neighbors such as Raul Revera shaking their heads.
"It's heartbreaking. It's heartbreaking," he said.
"Crime has gone up since the police's size has gone down."
Police here have been understaffed due to layoffs, attrition and officers leaving for higher pay in other cities. A class of 43 police academy graduates is set to go on patrol in June.
