San Jose police arrest woman suspected of retail thefts between 2023-25

San Jose Police said they arrested a woman in mid-March in connection to various retail thefts as far back as 2023.

Around 3 p.m. on March 17, officers with the Organized Retail Theft Detail made contact with Socorro Punzo, who police said had multiple felony warrants.

Police said the warrants were related to organized retail theft, burglary and grand theft investigations. San Jose Police suspect Punzo of thefts at Macy's, ULTA, Sunglass Hut, Home Depot and other city stores.

Punzo is suspected of committing the thefts between 2023 and 2025. San Jose Police said she may be connected to dozens of other retail thefts.

She was arrested and booked into the Santa Clara County Jail on suspicion of organized retail theft, burglary and grand theft.
