San Jose Man Hospitalized In Suspected Gang Shooting
SAN JOSE (CBS SF) -- A man shot near an East San Jose elementary school early Friday evening is expected to survive his injuries, police said.
The shooting was reported around 5 p.m. in the 2700 block of Kollmar Drive, near the intersection of the East Capitol Expressway and Story Road.
Police found a 31-year-old San Jose man there suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken to a hospital for treatment and is expected to survive.
Officers placed Ryan Elementary School, which is about a block from the shooting scene, on lockdown while they searched for suspects in the area. No suspects were located.
The shooting is believed to be gang-related, police said.
