A San Jose man suspected of starting a fire inside a business was arrested in early October, police said.

Police identified the suspect as 28-year-old Andy Luong.

Luong is suspected of entering a business on the 1800 block of Hillsdale Avenue on the night of Oct. 7 and setting fire to a box containing an electric scooter.

Police said officers responded just before 10 p.m., but Luong had already fled the scene.

He was arrested three days later, on Oct. 10, and booked into the Santa Clara County Main Jail on suspicion of arson.

Police ask that anyone with information about the incident call investigator Moody at 408-277-4166.
