Building Collapses In San Jose Lumber Yard Fire
SAN JOSE (CBS SF) -- A building collapsed in a two-alarm fire at a lumber yard near San Jose Tuesday morning, a Cal Fire captain said.
The fire was reported at 7:45 a.m. at the Padula Lumber Co. at 8149 Monterey Road, just outside of San Jose city limits.
As of 9:15 a.m., the blaze had been contained and had not spread beyond the yard, but the lumber company's main building had collapsed and other buildings were burning, Cal Fire Capt. Paul Provence said.
No injuries have been reported, he said.

One of those buildings was the old bunkhouse at the Union Pacific Railroad Depot.
Owner Francine Rango said it was on the list of historic places in Santa Clara County. She blames the fire on someone at the lumber yard.
"These people that stay up all night and burn big barrels so they can stay warm; I believe one of them was left unattended. I think once they do the investigation they're going to find out that it was due to the negligence in the yard," Rango said.
No one at the lumber yard was available for comment.
