San Jose Kids Go On Shopping Spree With Cops
SAN JOSE (KCBS) - Christmas came early this year for some lucky elementary school students in San Jose as more than two dozen kids went shopping with police officers courtesy of their local Target.
Once inside the San Jose store, the students paired up with police officers and set off on a $100 shopping spree.
KCBS' Matt Bigler Reports:
"I got some jeans, some boots and two CDs," said fourth grader Sophia Rosales who also got presents for her twin sister.
"We've been doing Shop With a Cop in different areas for quite a while," said David Lake with Target.
The students from low-income families were chosen from Trace Elementary School, which suffered a devastating arson fire on the 4th of July.
