SAN JOSE (CBS SF) – A man with a pellet gun walked into San Jose's Good Samaritan Hospital Thursday morning and was eventually detained by police, according to a San Jose police spokesman.
At about 9:20 a.m., officers responded to a call about a man with a gun at the hospital's emergency room at 2425 Samaritan Drive, San Jose police spokesman Sgt. Enrique Garcia said.
According to KPIX 5's Kiet Do, the man with the pellet gun was disarmed by an employee, who is a military veteran.
The man was held by hospital staff until police arrived to take him into custody. No shots were fired and no one was injured during the incident, Garcia said.
The man, whose name was not released, was booked into Santa Clara County Jail on suspicion of brandishing a replica firearm, according to Garcia.
