San Jose Earthquakes Hire New Team President
SAN JOSE (AP) - The San Jose Earthquakes announced this week that David Kaval, Golden Baseball League founder, has become the team's new president, replacing Michael Crowley.
Kaval, 34, will oversee business and player-personnel decisions while reporting to Crowley, also the Oakland A's president, who was promoted to managing director.
"I needed to take a step back from the day-to-day operations and I felt like now was the perfect time for that move," Crowley said in a prepared statement.
A graduate of the Stanford business school, Kaval worked on the budget for national security for the Office of the President of the United States among other jobs.
"David brings a wealth of experience and leadership from a very diverse background to this position," Crowley said.
