San Jose Earthquakes Attempt World Record With Stadium Groundbreaking
SAN JOSE (CBS SF) -- The San Jose Earthquakes are attempting to break a world record Sunday, with the largest number of people to participate in a groundbreaking ceremony.
In order to break the Guinness World Record, participants will need to dig, using a commemorative shovel, or one of their own.
Over 5,500 people had registered to participate by Friday morning.
The current record of 4,532 was set in 2007 in Jaipur, India.
