San Jose Choir Teacher Accused Of Spying On Teen Girls In Bathroom
SALINAS (CBS SF) -- A Salinas High School teacher working for a San Jose choir has been arrested for allegedly trying to spy on teenage girls during a field trip, according to the Santa Cruz County Sheriff's Office.
Aldrin Jayson Nicolas, 26, was working as a teacher with the Vivace Youth Chorus of San Jose during a field trip to Pajaro Dunes from March 13 to March 16, according to the sheriff's office.
A preliminary investigation revealed that Nicolas put a "spy pen" camera in the girls hotel bathroom to film them getting undressed, according to the sheriff's office.
Investigators believe Nicolas was producing videos of the girls, who were between 13 and 17 years old, sheriff's officials said.
Nicolas has been suspended from working at the Vivace Youth Chorus and placed on administrative leave from Salinas High School while the investigation is under way.
