San Jose 2030: A Historical Project
SAN JOSE, Calif. (KCBS)- In San Jose, a man with a video camera is setting out to capture change in moving pictures for the next two decades.
The Silicon Valley has proven to be a hub for fast-paced technology and David Manzo is hoping to document the changes in San Jose over the next 20 years.
Manzo has started a project called San Jose 2030, inspired by a slide show of San José showing pictures taken in 1973 and then from the same angles in 2003.
He wants to document the changes in San Jose from 2010-2030, but with moving images.
"I've also done the demolition of Lechter's Garage and the Church of Christ in St. James Park. I've been working with the developer and I'll come back and videotape the project from the same camera angles when the project's complete," said Manzo.
He envisions his study including the creation of a baseball stadium and the changes of the airport.

"In 20 years they might not remember Terminal C. We always hear about people saying they remember when this whole valley was orchards," said Manzo.
Manzo has lived in San Jose since 1989 and says there is no other place he calls home.
