San Francisco Police Seek Help In Finding Man Wanted In Wife's Murder
SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) - Police were asking for the public's help in finding a man wanted for the murder of his wife, who was found dead in a hotel room in San Francisco's Marina District in February.
Billy Waterman, 59, is suspected of killing his 47-year-old wife Colleen, who was found in a room at a hotel in the 1900 block of Lombard Street on the afternoon of Feb. 10, police said.
Investigators initially named Waterman as a person of interest in the death, and have since obtained a homicide arrest warrant for him, police spokesman Officer Carlos Manfredi said.
The couple lived in Riverside County, and both had been reported missing by family members prior to the death.
San Mateo County sheriff's deputies found the couple's car later on Feb. 10, parked and unoccupied on state Highway 1 near Devil's Slide, police said.
Billy Waterman is described as a white man about 6 feet tall and 160 pounds, with red hair and blue eyes.
He is known to have family members in Southern California, according to police.
