San Francisco Police Bomb Squad To Hold Explosives Disposal Training Inside Candlestick Park
SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- San Francisco Police will hold training exercises on explosives disposal inside Candlestick Park this coming weekend, according to the department.
The training by the department's Explosive Ordnance Disposal unit will happen Saturday and Sunday between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.
A press release said the training is not related in any way to the demolition of the stadium, and that loud noises may be heard during the training.
The former home of the 49ers and Giants is being torn down to make way for a retail and residential development complex.
