San Francisco Pedestrian Critically Hurt In Potrero Hill Hit & Run
SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) - A pedestrian was critically injured in a hit-and-run crash in San Francisco's Potrero Hill neighborhood early Saturday morning, police said.
The victim, a man in his 60s, was struck at 2:02 a.m. near the intersection of 16th Street and Potrero Avenue, according to police.
The suspect, who was driving a cream-colored, 1970s-era Chevrolet El Camino, was traveling east on 16th Street when he jumped the curb and struck the man, police said.
The suspect drove east on 16th Street and had not been found as of this morning, police spokesman Officer Albie Esparza said.
The victim was taken to San Francisco General Hospital with life-threatening head trauma, according to police.
