San Francisco Man Arrested For Alleged Ax Attack On Father
SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) - A man was arrested after allegedly chasing his father, kicking him, and swinging an ax at his head in San Francisco's Excelsior neighborhood on Sunday afternoon, a police officer from the Ingleside Station said.
The attack was reported about 3:50 p.m. Sunday in the 200 block of Naples Street, Officer H. Soulette said.
The 21-year-old son and his 57-year-old father got into an argument that turned physical as the father fell to the ground, Soulette said.
A witness told police that the father then got up and was chased by his son, who had allegedly picked up an ax and swung it at his father's head, Soulette said.
Officers responded and arrested the son on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon. Police have not yet released his name.
The dad was not struck by the ax, and refused medical treatment.
