Sacramento Man Arrested In Fatal San Francisco Shooting
ANTIOCH (CBS SF) - A Sacramento man was arrested in Antioch Friday morning in connection with the fatal shooting of a 30-year-old man in San Francisco's Bayview District in June, police said.
Officers located and arrested 23-year-old Joshua Pittman on a $10 million warrant on suspicion of murder, according to San Francisco police.
Police allege that Pittman shot Otto Brown numerous times in the 700 block of Kirkwood Avenue around 3 p.m. on June 30. Brown, a San Francisco resident, was taken to a hospital where he died.
San Francisco police arrested Pittman with the assistance of Antioch police, Sacramento police and the FBI.
"These other agencies were essential in finding his whereabouts," San Francisco police Sgt. Danielle Newman said.
Newman said she did not know whether Pittman had been living in Antioch. He was taken to county jail in San Francisco.
San Francisco police continue to investigate the killing and encourage anyone with information to call the Police Department's homicide detail at (415) 553-1145. Those who wish to remain anonymous may call (415) 575-4444 or send a tip via text message to TIP411, beginning the message with "SFPD".
