'Ron Burgundy' Gets Racy In New 'Anchorman 2' Trailer
(CBS NEWS) - Ron Burgundy and his Channel 4 News Team reporters are moving from San Diego to the Big Apple in the new trailer for "Anchorman: The Legend Continues."
Will Ferrell reprises one of his most famous roles nearly 10 years after he last donned that trademark mustache and car salesman coif in the first "Anchorman" film.
Almost a decade has also passed in the "Anchorman" universe, as Burgundy and company find themselves trying to adjust to life in the 1980s. The anchor and his team of correspondents (including Steve Carell and Paul Rudd) relocate to New York in the hopes of making it big on a 24-hour news channel.
"I'm going to do what God put Ron Burgundy on this earth to do...Have salon quality hair and read the news," Ferrell declares in the trailer, now available through San Bruno-based YouTube.
We also get to see some new characters, including James Marsden, a dim-witted love interest for Carell's Brick character, played by Kristen Wiig, and Meagan Goode as a possible girlfriend for Burgundy. While the first film dealt with Burgundy and his colleagues adjusting to women in the workplace, it seems "The Legend Continues" will explore race relations. Goode and Ferrell are shown at a dinner table with a black family in one of the trailer's most cringe-inducing moments. Check out the video above to see for yourself.
"Anchorman: The Legend Continues" hits theaters on Dec. 20.
