Road-Rage Incident Ends In Antioch Shooting
ANTIOCH (CBS SF) -- A road rage-related confrontation ended in a shooting in Antioch on Monday, police said.
Officers responded to reports of a shooting at the intersection of Auto Center Drive and Mahogany Way at 11:30 a.m. and found a victim suffering from two minor wounds.
Police said the shooting stemmed from a road rage incident that began near Delta Fair Boulevard and Somersville Road.
A passenger in one of the cars exited the vehicle and challenged the driver of a second car to a fight, police said.
When the second driver exited his car, the passenger shot him with a small-caliber handgun, according to police.
The driver and passenger in the first car drove away after the shooting and had not been found as of Monday evening, police said.
The victim was not seriously injured, and was treated at the scene, police said.
