Rihanna Joins Paul McCartney For Surprise Desert Trip Performance
By Robyn Collins
(RADIO.COM) – Pop superstar Rihanna showed up at Desert Trip to join the legendary Paul McCartney for a surprise performance of their 2015 hit single, "FourFiveSeconds."
Desert Trip is a festival aimed at the baby boomer crowd, evidenced by the amenities offered, as well as the artists on the bill. The music extravaganza stretched across two weekends, and took place on the same grounds that host Coachella annually.
"We finally found someone under the age of 50," McCartney joked as Rihanna left the stage, referencing the mature crowd that makes up the festival's audience and inaugural lineup, Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, Neil Young, Roger Waters, and The Who.
RiRi and Sir Paul performed their double-platinum single for the first time since they took the stage with Kanye West at the 2015 Grammy Awards.
