Richmond Man Stabbed While Breaking Up Fight
RICHMOND (CBS SF) -- A man was stabbed when he tried to intervene a fight between his friend and his roommate in Richmond late Sunday morning, a police sergeant said.
At 11:46 a.m. Richmond police received a call about a fight. When officers arrived to an apartment in the 2100 block of Pullman Ave. a man had suffered a stab wound to his right thigh, Sgt. Al Walle said.
The victim was taken to Doctors Medical Center, formerly named Brookside Hospital, in San Pablo with injuries that were not life threatening, Walle said.
The victim had been visiting a friend at the apartment, who was in an argument with his roommate. When the victim intervened, the suspect stabbed him and then left the apartment.
The victim was able to describe the suspect as a 45-year-old black man with a 5-foot-7 muscular build with short hair and a goatee. He was wearing a tank top and jeans, Walle said.
