Resident Shot In Violent San Francisco Bayview Home Invasion Robbery
SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- Three suspects forced a victim into a home at gunpoint in San Francisco's Bayview District late Wednesday night and robbed other people at the home after firing shots that seriously injured one of the residents, police said.
Around 11:45 p.m., two armed suspects, men believed to be between 25 and 35 years old, and a third male suspect forced a victim into a home in the 1500 block of Newhall Street, police said.
Once inside, the suspects corralled the residents into the kitchen and took money from one of them while the first victim was in a bedroom, police said.
The suspects then fired their guns and one of the residents was hit in the arm and torso, according to police.
The injured resident was taken to San Francisco General Hospital with life-threatening injuries, police said.
The suspects also took a victim's red purse during the robbery and ran out a back door, police said.
They remained at large as of Thursday, according to police.
