About 9:30 a.m., two suspects entered a home in the 1000 block of Weeks Street near Pulgas Avenue and repeatedly assaulted the victim, police said.

One suspect shot the victim before both intruders fled, police said.

A witness told police that the suspects fled in a brown-colored, late 1990s or early 2000 model Nissan Altima that was parked on Weeks Street.

The suspects drove south from the scene and have not been located.

The victim was taken to a hospital where he was in stable condition.

Anyone who may have witnessed the crime or has any information about the incident was asked to contact the East Palo Alto Police Department at (650) 321-1112, send an anonymous email to epa@tipnow.org, or leave an anonymous voicemail or send an anonymous text to (650) 409-6792.
