Repeat DUI Offender Arrested At Santa Rosa Home

SANTA ROSA (CBS SF) - Serving an outstanding no-bail warrant on a repeat DUI offender, California Highway Patrol officers Monday arrested a Santa Rosa man who has two prior DUI convictions and nine separate license suspensions, the CHP said.

Kyle Benjamin Hinds, 26, was located at his home in eastern Santa Rosa, where he was arrested without incident at about 3:20 p.m., the CHP said.

Hinds, who was wanted on suspicion of driving under the influence, was also wanted for driving on a suspended license, the CHP said.

Hinds' arrest was part of an ongoing effort by the Santa Rosa CHP to serve outstanding warrants in Sonoma County, the CHP said. Officers will continue to serve these warrants, and the CHP advises those who have outstanding warrants to contact law enforcement.

In some cases, warrants can be resolved with a citation notice to appear, but if investigators serve the warrant in person, the named party will go to jail, the CHP said.
